Fan3D or Rotato: what’s the difference?
For an occasional device animation, either tool can work. The difference shows up when you need frequent screen swaps, camera variations, and new formats.
Fan3D and Rotato start in much the same place: import a screen, place it on a device, adjust the camera, and render an image or video. Rotato is primarily manual; Fan3D keeps that workflow and also lets external agents edit the project.

How to choose
If your Rotato templates already cover the work and you rarely make variants, staying with a familiar workflow is the simplest choice.
If media swaps, composition tests, and motion tweaks are taking too much time, Fan3D’s agent workflow becomes more useful.
